Dr. Syed Muhammad Waqas, a professional member of IEEE and China Computer Federation (CCF), currently working as an Associate Professor with College of Artificial Intelligence, received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Islamia University Bahawalpur, Pakistan in 2011. He received his master's degree and PhD degree in computer science and technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University (C9, Double First Class A) China In 2020 and 2024 respectively. He has published several high-quality research papers in high-impact journals such as Expert Systems with Applications (CAS Zone 1, Top), IEEE Internet of Things Journal (CAS Zone 1, Top), Computer Communications JCR1, Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing JCR1, and IEEE 99th VTC (H-131). Dr. Syed has served as Network Engineer at PI Communication Company Limited Lahore and Lecturer Computer Science in Engineering Institute Lahore from 2015 to 2018 respectively. He is also a reviewer for renowned international journals such as Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsvier), IEEE Internet of Things Journal (IEEE), Wireless Networks (Springer), Computing (Springer), Journal of Supercomputing (Springer), Wireless Personal Communication (Springer), and Radio Science (Wiley) and Scientific Reports (Springer Nature). Dr. Syed is selected for Engineering membership of China Institute of Communication under Recommendation of Harbin Institute of Technology (C9, Double First Class A) China. He has received the Best Academic Research Award of the year from Xi'an Jiaotong University. His research interests include 5G/6G wireless communications, Internet of Vehicles, machine learning, artificial intelligence, UAVs, resource allocation, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoTs).

Dr. Waqas won the fully funded Chinese Government Scholarship in 2018 and 2020 for Master and PhD Degrees respectively.
